What is WBENC?

WBENC is short for Women’s Business Enterprise Council. It is an organization that investigates and then guarantees the authenticity of women owned businesses. Following certification, a woman owned business becomes eligible for government assistance, networking and special consideration by other businesses. This special treatment is critical to women owned businesses because they lack the history of family and cultural support that other business owners have taken for granted. WBENC certification allows women owned businesses the credibility and support needed to help them grow into and maintain their positions as major contributors to the local, national and global business markets.
